CNG – SAFE

CNG-SAFE is an elec­tronic doc­u­ment man­age­ment sys­tem that pro­vides a cen­tral repos­i­to­ryand a cap­ture soft­ware for scan­ning and con­ver­sion of your doc­u­ments. It inter­faces and inte­grates 3rd party appli­ca­tions and pro­vides one screen for access­ing data within the sys­tem.  CNG Overview

Gen­eral Sys­tem Require­ments (Minimum)

Server

  • Proces­sor: Pen­tium 4 1GHz or higher.
  • Oper­at­ing Sys­tem: Win­dows Server 2008; Win­dows Server 2003 SP1; Win­dows Server 2003 Enter­prise Edi­tion SP1; Win­dows Small Busi­ness Server 2003 SP1; 64 Bit supported.
  • MS .NET 2.0 SP1 or 3.5 SP1 Framework
  • MS Inter­net Explorer 6.0 SP1 or later
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2005 SP2 or SQL 2008 (SQL Express pro­vided, other ver­sions must be pur­chased sep­a­rately if necessary)
  • Hard drive stor­age to accom­mo­date the esti­mated data vol­ume. SCSI RAID 5 or RAID 10 Rec­om­mended. 20,000 8.5 x 11 pages per 1 GB stor­age space typical.
  • Exter­nal HDD (other than NAS, SAN, or equiv­a­lent net­work stor­age), USB Dri­ves, Mem­ory Dri­ves, etc are not supported

Optional Backup and Repli­ca­tion Server

  • Rec­om­mend fully redun­dant stor­age server for fail-safe backup and repli­ca­tion
    (If access to data is mis­sion crit­i­cal and down­time must be minimized)
  • Tape backup with suf­fi­cient capac­ity for com­plete data set
  • Backup soft­ware with SQL agent
  • Optional off­site remote backup via inter­net backup

Work­sta­tion and CNG-Batch Requirements

  • Proces­sor: Pen­tium 4 or higher
  • Oper­at­ing Sys­tem: XP Pro SP2 or later; MS Vista Busi­ness, Enter­prise, or Ulti­mate (all 64 and 32 bit).
  • RAM: 512Mb (min); 1GB (recommended)
  • Hard Drive: 400Mb min­i­mum free space
  • Dis­play Res­o­lu­tion: 1024x768 (recommended)
  • Con­nec­tion to the server via TCP/IP
  • MS Inter­net Explorer 6.0 or later
  • 3.5 SP1 Framework
  • Cor­re­spond­ing Soft­ware to access the var­i­ous data files being stored, for exam­ple: Microsoft® Word, Excel, Word­Per­fect®, Adobe Acro­bat, etc. **

** CNG-SAFE man­ages data in its native for­mat and includes soft­ware view­ers for over 250 dif­fer­ent file for­mats; for full-editing capa­bil­ity, clients need to have the cor­re­spond­ing appli­ca­tion soft­ware installed on the client system

LAN/WAN Con­nec­tiv­ity

  • LAN speeds of 100 Mb min­i­mum with Giga­byte con­nec­tion to the server
  • Secure con­nec­tion with firewall/VPN for WAN
  • Rec­om­mend for WAN con­nec­tion min­i­mum of 768KB up and down.

Scan­ners

  • Twain com­pli­ant. Rec­om­men­da­tions include Fujitsu, Canon, and Kodak. For spe­cific mod­els, con­tact TSC DOC­Suite for a rec­om­men­da­tion based on volume
